I paint with different techniques according to the mood, the subject and sometimes according to specific orders. Therefore even if  I usually paint with oil colours sometimes a try special, fascinating techniques like egg temper, with cherry rubber that gives a brilliant touch to the colours and transparency . Watercolours and acrylic are also a frequent option, for long my preferred techniques as they allow a fast painting and some beautiful nuances.

My subject are animals and plants of Eurasia. In most cases I could directly observe, “in situ” the species that I paint. Alternatively I studied them at the Alpen Zoo of Innsbruck, at the National Park of Bavarian Forest  and at the zoos of many other European cities.

I often get inspiration from my own pictures, or from books, magazines and obviously from internet. They help me to remember a special atmosphere, the colours of particular feathers or the natural position of an animal.

On request I portrait dogs, cats, horses and other pets.

I inform you that you can see my works from 28th May through 11th September at the Visitor Centre of National Park of Belluno Dolomites, at Pedavena and from 14th September till 14th October at the so called Ciasa de ra Regoles di Cortina d’Ampezzo.
